NSRAA Spring Board Meeting : March 11-12 in Juneau
NSRAA’s 2015 Spring Board of Directors Meeting will be held on Wednesday & Thursday, March 11-12, 2015 in Juneau at the DIPAC Visitor Center. Meetings begin at 9 am each day. The public is invited to attend.
Topics will include NSRAA’s FY16 Budget, planning for the 2015 season and beyond, program updates and review of recent Board of Fish actions. To view the agenda, the full board book and staff presentations, visit our Board Info page.
NSRAA BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING – NOV 12-13, 2014
NSRAA’s Board of Directors will meet in the Sitka board room on November 12-13.

Medvejie Eggtakes Complete – 87 million eggs
Eggtakes for Medvejie were completed Monday at 87 million eggs. This meets all Medvejie program goals. An additional 2 million eggs were taken for SJ Hatchery. It appears there are about 15,000 adults excess to broodstock needs. These fish will be harvested for cost recovery or will move up to raceways and harvested.
The fisheries at Deep Inlet will continue at least through the end of the month.
Medvejie & Deep Inlet Update – 9 September
Medvejie experienced a huge flood on Saturday which destroyed the weir. Fortunately,
we employ a barrier net for back up and it saved thousands of fish from going upstream.
Fish scattered but came together and we had our best day on Monday with 5.7 million
eggs. This brings us to 57% of the goal and it feels like we might make it. There are still
plenty of fish around.
Deep Inlet catch on Saturday was better than expected. New fish continue to move in.
The best news was the high percent of 3 year olds in the seine and gillnet catch on
Thursday and Saturday.
